Evaluation of todays lesson

In todays lesson, Steve showed us how to do a stop motion animation. In his animation it was a one eyed alien like creature, jumping from one place to another in five points.
We then had to get into our pairs for this project, so I went with Liam, and we then had to do our own stop motion animation. At first we couldn't think of an idea, so we sketched out a few ideas, and then we came up with one that we thought suited best.

Our idea was a jelly fish moving around. It goes through five steps, but two are the same.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Step 4:

Step 5:

The five steps look very simple, but they are most definitely not. The reasons why they are not is because we needed to make sure that each movement flowed well with each other. They also needed to look like the same jelly fish. In step one, the jelly fish is relaxed, step two, the jelly fish has spread its tenticles getting ready to jump up, step three shows the jelly fish speeding through the sea with straight and stiff tenticles. Step four shows the jelly fish relaxed, and the last step is the same as the first, so that we can get ready to repeat it again.

In this task we also had to trace the pictures and we then took photos of them on photo booth. This is how far we have got so far, but we still need a few more things to do. Our next step which we have planned to do, is enlarge the frames, and then draw them onto cardboard. After that we need to paint them, and then take pictures of them on Istop motion, so that we can have all of the steps pulled together, to make one animation of the jelly fish moving.

I have enjoyed todays lesson, but i feel that I need to work quicker, so that I can have the whole animation as one, instead of taking ages trying to get the shape of the jelly fish.
