Evaluation of todays lesson

In todays lesson at Coleridge, our first task of the day was to look at another persons sketchbook, and write on a pink sheet the things which they have and haven't done, for example: Research and Reference, checkpoint planning etc....

When we had finished this task, I then started to update my sketchbook, and I made some annotations on some of my work, and I also added colours to some of my work in my book, using patterns to make it look more creative. The other day we did a task where we had to pick two of the short films which we watched, and in my sketchbook I cut out the notes I made and made everything look interesting, and I also put some annotations on these pages.

When i had finished with my sketchbook, I then moved on to creating the jelly fish character which me and Liam made. We had to enlarge the images that we had on tracing paper, and draw over them in thick, dark felt tip. When we had finished we then had to go outside the classroom and make a short animation film using all of our five frames. We had to take a picture of each frame moving them bit by bit, in each position. In our animation, the jelly fish is moving across a blue floor which looks like water, but then it goes up a wall. We did this to add some comedy into it. Here is a picture of me and Liam working on one of the frames:

In my opinion we could have work a bit faster, because we don't have any music, and it would have been good to have some, instead of an image moving around without any sound, because I think it looks quite boring this way.

I really enjoyed todays lesson, as it was very creative.
