History of Campbell:
Thomas Campbell was born in 1969. As he grew up he found himself to be a very unique visual artist. Beyond his paintings, he is also a filmaker, sculptor and a photographer. He immersed himself in the skate/street, art/punk, hiphop/hell raising scene. Campbell also featured in a surf film 'The Seeding' which was the first ever film he appeared in.
What I like about his art work:
The thing which I like most about his art work/paintings, is the patterns which he uses in most of his paintings. When he uses this effect, your eyes start to blur if you stare at it for too long.
In a few of his paintings, I have spotted that he uses similar techniques in each one. Also he uses swirly lines, and triangular shapes. When you look at his art work, you find that he uses repeated patterns in his work, which i think makes the paintings stand out alot.
The colours he uses in his art work, makes it more interesting, for example when he uses orange and white in one of his paintings, it makes you wonder why he has used these colours., as it lookes very strange.
Here are some examples of his work:
I find that in most of his art work he likes to draw the little huts in them, which i think is very interesting and I want to know why he does this.
